Academic Council

The Academic Council in SCHE plays a crucial role in setting and maintaining the academic standards, policies, and procedures of the institution. 

The vision of the Academic Council (AC)  is to ensure the quality and integrity of academic programs and to promote the overall academic excellence, to foster a conducive learning environment, and empower students and faculty to achieve their full potential.

In SCHE the objectives of AC are the following:

1. To establish and maintain high academic standards, across all programmes offered in  the college through setting guidelines for curriculum implementation, assessment methods and grading criteria  

2. To review and oversee the development and modification of academic programs and courses to ensure they remain relevant, up-to-date

3.  To formulate and review policies related to academic matters such as admissions, enrollment, credit transfer, academic integrity, and student progression. 

4. To support faculty members in their professional development for maintaining academic excellence. The Academic Council together with the IQAC may facilitate initiatives such as workshops, seminars, and training programs to enhance teaching methodologies, research capabilities, and academic leadership skills.

5. To promote student success and well-being through academic advising, support services, and resources to help students excel in their studies and achieve their educational goals.

6. To develop initiatives to foster a culture of research and support collaborative projects.
