Establishing a committee for Other Backward Classes (OBC) in SCHE is a proactive step towards addressing the concerns and needs of students belonging to the OBC category. This committee will serve as a dedicated platform to cater to the specific requirements and challenges faced by OBC students

Objectives:

  1. To serve as a platform for advocating the rights and interests of OBC students within the college community. It represents their concerns to the administration and other relevant authorities.
  2. To provides support and guidance to OBC students in various aspects of their college life, including academic, social, and personal matters
  3. To ensure that the OBC students have access to resources, facilities and opportunities available in the college including scholarships, financial aid and career guidance
  4. To monitor regularly the progress and experiences of OBC students and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions and support services by the college
  5. To organise awareness campaigns and sensitization programs to promote inclusivity and eliminate discrimination against OBC students within the college community.

By establishing the committee specifically dedicated to address the concerns and needs of OBC students, SCHE creates a more inclusive and supportive environment that enables OBC students to thrive personally, academically and socially.
