Grievance Redressal Cell

The Grievance Redressal Cell (GRC) in an institution serves as a crucial mechanism for addressing and resolving various grievances and concerns raised by students, faculty, staff, or any other stakeholders. The grievance cell is also empowered to look into matters of harassment. Anyone with a genuine grievance may approach the principal or the members of the committee in person. In case the person is not willing to appear in self, grievances may be dropped in writing in the suggestion box. Objectives:

  1. To address and resolve grievances raised by individuals or groups within the organization.
  2. To encourage students to express their grievances and problems freely and frankly without fear
  3. To encourage the students of the college to respect the right and dignity of one another
  4. To advise the staff members to be affectionate to the students and not to behave in a vindictive manner towards any of them for any reason
  5. To ensure fair treatment for all by providing a platform where they can voice their concerns
  6. To resolve conflicts through impartial process

Scope:

  1. Academic Matters: Related to Class Routine, issue of duplicate certificates, mark-sheets, transfer certificates etc.
  2. Other Matters: Related to certain misgivings about conditions of sanitation, canteen, classrooms, victimization by teachers or others

Functions:

  1. To receive grievances from students and to attend on them promptly
  2. To conduct thorough investigations into each grievance to gather relevant information and understand the underlying issues.
  3. To facilitate constructive dialogue and negotiation to reach mutually acceptable solutions when grievances involve conflicts between individuals or groups
  4. To give report to the authority about cases attended to and the cases pending , if any which require further guidance from external sources
  5. To maintain all the required records concerning the cell

Procedure for lodging complaint:

  1. Students are free to put up grievance in writing and drop it in the box provided for the purpose
  2. The grievance cell will act upon those cases which have been forwarded along with the necessary documents
