Anti-ragging Cell

The Anti-Ragging Cell was established in Salesian College of Higher Education, Dimapur, as per the guidelines of UGC under the Act of 1956, which is modified as UGC regulations on curbing the menace of Ragging in higher Educational Institutions, 2009. 

 Vision: 

 The Anti-Ragging Cell envisions a campus free from harassment, fostering a culture of respect and safety for all students, with proactive measures to prevent incidents and provide support to those affected, ensuring accountability and justice in addressing any violations.

Objectives

  1. To prohibit any conduct by any student or students whether by words, spoken or written or, by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student.
  2. To bring out an awareness among the students about the consequences of ragging.
  3. To keep a constant eye and vigilance over ragging so as to prevent its occurrence.
  4. To address any ragging issues immediately and taken action as advised by the committee.
  5. Anti-ragging undertaking will be done by all the students.
  6. Anti-Ragging Cell executive meeting will be held twice a year.
Punishment to those found guilty:
  1. Warning , writing apology letter
  2. Suspension from attending classes and academic privileges.
  3. Withholding/ withdrawing scholarship/ fellowship and other benefits.
  4. Debarring from appearing in any test/ examination or other evaluation process.
  5. Withholding results.
  6. Debarring from representing the institution in any regional, national or international meet, tournament, youth festival, etc.
  7. Suspension/ expulsion from the hostel.
  8. Cancellation of admission.
  9. Rustication from the institution for period ranging from one to four semesters.
  10. Expulsion from the institution and consequent debarring from admission to any other institution for a specified period.
